S412E - LMR Master™ Land Mobile Radio Modulation Analyzer, Signal Generator, Spectrum Analyzer, and Vector Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer and Vector Network Analyzer
LMR Master is built on Anritsu's ninth-generation handheld platform, combining a high-performance receiver/spectrum analyzer with the world's most advanced handheld vector network analyzer, along with CW/P25 (Phase 1 and Phase 2)/DMR (MOTOTRBO™)/TETRA/NXDN™/PTC signal generator.
LMR Master S412E provides technical support for professional mobile radio (PMR) technicians and engineers in field testing NBFM signals, P25 Phase 2 (TDMA) signals, DMR (MOTOTRBO™), dPMR, TETRA, NXDN, and PTC signals, as well as collision avoidance control systems for rail transit.
The LMR Master is primarily equipped with a vector network analyzer and spectrum analyzer, with the spectrum analyzer adding the capability to analyze and test narrowband FM signals, including RSSI, SINAD, and THD: P25 (TIA-102.CAAA-C), P25 Phase 2 (TIA-102.AA), ETSI DMR Tier 2 (MOTOTRBO™), ETSI TETRA, NXDN™, dPMR™, PTC. The GPS receiver option enables coverage mapping tests for analog and digital LMR systems (using touchscreen marking indoors, GPS marking outdoors). LMR Master also supports public FDD & TDD LTE, WiMAX signals (fixed IEEE 802.16d, mobile IEEE 802.16e), and can be configured with GSM/GPRS/EDGE measurements.
A high-performance cable and antenna vector network analyzer with a frequency range of 500 MHz to 1600 MHz can be used to scan cable and antenna systems. Time domain reflectometry (TDR) is primarily used to characterize antenna systems. Fault location measurement function easily identifies poor connections, contamination, damaged cables, and water ingress. The range extends up to 6 GHz. Using patented RF interference suppression technology, precise and repeatable measurements can be performed in highly RF-active environments. LMR Master S412E and S362E share the same ninth-generation hardware platform.
The vector network analyzer of the S412E features excellent dynamic range (>100 dB), suitable for viewing and adjusting the RF performance of critical RF devices, including filters, duplexers, combiners, receiver multicouplers, and tower-mounted amplifiers. With a fast scanning speed of 850 microseconds per point, the S412E quickly displays and updates VNA measurements (both in frequency and time domains). Additionally, the VNA display can be customized from 2 to 4001 data points according to customer needs. For users who prefer a simplified interface,
LMR Master integrates a high-performance vector network analyzer with a full-featured spectrum analyzer. A DANL of -152 dBm (RBW = 10 Hz, atten = 0 dB, f < 2.4 GHz) allows it to easily capture low-level signals that interfere with LMR system operation. Phase noise is < -110 dBc/Hz at a typical offset of 10 kHz (f < 6 GHz).
With an external sensor, the high-precision power meter option provides true RMS measurements. This is an ideal solution for performing accurate measurements on modulated signals. The channel scanner option offers a convenient way to scan up to 20 channels.
LMR Master S412E includes data analysis software, a soft carrying case, rechargeable/field-replaceable battery, AC/DC power supply, 12V car cigarette lighter adapter, and a comprehensive user guide.
PIM mode is optimized to work with the MW82119B PIM Master to locate external IM products.
